Habitat: White horehound is indigenous to Great Britain as well as most of Europe, northern Africa, and much of Asia. Like most plants in its family, this plant can flourish in wastelands and can be commonly found along roadsides.
Description: White horehound is a herbaceous perennial plant with greyish leaves, and grows to an average height of around 33 cm. The leaves, are 3 to 5 cm long, and have a hairy texture. Flowers bloom on the upper portion of the main stalk, and appear in small white clusters. The plant has an odd musky smell which lessens with dehydration.Horehound is a herbaceous perennial plant. It grows up to 45 cm in height. The leaves are gray, small and oval, with a crinkled appearance. Downy white hairs grow on the underside of the leaves. Lower leaves appear on the long stalks, and the upper leaves grow smaller and without stalks. The flowers are small and white and borne in dense clusters. Blooming period lasts from June to August. Two-lipped tubular flowers appear on the upper part of the main stem. Seeds are small and shiny, with little barbs that attach to the animal fur.
